How to Filter Results

Academic Search Premier (and all EBSCO interfaces)

Ex. Academic Search Premier (and all EBSCO interfaces) allows you to limit your results prior to searching. You can limit to just results matching your full-text, articles with references within the abstract page, and also scholarly (peer-reviewed) journals. (TIP: Limiting results to just articles with full-text can be dangerous. Sometimes you have access to the article in print form or electronically through another database.) Don't forget to click on the "Help" link to access further tips for navigating the database.

You may also filter academic journals from trade and popular magazines after you have generated results. Note, many databases will also give you suggested subjects to help narrow and define your searches.
